Hello! :)
My name is Paula Zelek, I have a Polish background but I have been living in Norway since childhood. Each year, I visit Mallorca for a holiday, but this time, while still working in the UK as an event manager, I felt a profound connection to this beautiful island. It felt like home, so I decided to make it one. Here I am, ready to bring my expertise and passion for event management to this wonderful place!
In my free time I love to paint, which helps me express my artistic spirit. Blending art and management together creates a powerful duo that can bring some really exceptional projects to life.
Educational Background
My journey into event management was sparked by a deep-seated passion for weddings and craftsmanship around aesthetics. Wanting to fully understand this industry, I began a year-long floral program in Norway, exploring floral design, interior design and the broader field of design. After graduating in floristry, I moved to the UK where I started studying event management at Oxford, and then moved to Scotland, where I graduated in 2023. My dissertation focused on solving the problem of food waste at weddings. I continue to explore this topic with the goal of improving the wedding management industry.
Professional Background
My wedding planning journey began in 2021 when I had the chance to work with Scotland’s top wedding planner, THE WEDDING GURU OSKAR. It was an invaluable experience that taught me how to create seamless and memorable weddings. After that, I worked in the hospitality sector across Scotland, where I learned all about event logistics and guest services. This diverse background has given me the skills and passion to deliver exceptional wedding experiences. In addition to weddings, I have overseen large-scale events, including corporate galas held at iconic venues such as Stirling Castle and Edinburgh Castle.
